Tastes Like Love Shakeology

It's February and love is in the air! It's time for a little self-love and self care. One of the best ways to take good care of your body is to nourish it with good food. I made up this delicious Shakeology recipe which is a jazzed up variation on my "usual" which is basically, chocolate, cherry, spinach and almond butter. I love the addition of raspberry and cinnamon! And for those of you who have never had spinach in your smoothie, you can't taste it at all. I promise!

Ingredients:

  • 1 scoop chocolate Shakeology
  • 1/2 c. frozen cherries
  • 1/4 c. frozen raspberries
  • 1 handful of spinach
  • 1 tsp. almond butter
  • 2-3 dashes of cinnamon
  • Ice and water to get desired consistency

Blend ingredients in a blender and enjoy!

Some of the health promoting properties of this shake are:

Chocolate Shakeology - Shakeology has too many benefits to list here! But, I can tell you that it's full of antioxidants, super-foods, adaptogen herbs, pre & probiotics and digestive enzymes. Check this video for what doctors say about Shakeology.

Cherries - Cherries are packed with antioxidants and offer many health benefits, including help with insomnia, joint pain and belly fat.

Raspberries - These pretty berries offer a bounty of health benefits, from helping control weight to possibly helping prevent cancer.

Cinnamon - Cinnamon has so many health benefits! It's loaded with antioxidants, it has anti-inflammatory properties, it may cut the risk of heart disease, it can lower blood sugar and can boost saity and mimic sweetness.

Spinach - This healthy green is full of vitamins, antioxidants and minerals. Spinach has an extremely high nutritional value and is rich in antioxidants. It is a good source of vitamins A, B2, C and K, and also contains magnesium, manganese, folate, iron, calcium and potassium.

Almonds - Almonds are rich in dietary fiber, vitamins, and minerals and packed with numerous health promoting phyto-chemicals.
